As America celebrates 250 years, the City of Orange is celebrating the people, traditions, and defining moments that have shaped our community and continue to inspire us today.

Explore Orange in a fun and interactive way with the USA250 Star Spangled Bingo Challenge.

Participants who complete a bingo can come to one of the locations below to receive a limited-edition, USA250 sticker while supplies last:

Orange Public Library – 407 E. Chapman Ave.

250th Anniversary Exhibit Premieres

The Orange Public Library & History Center is highlighting how the City of Orange celebrated the Bicentennial with a special exhibit. The display features the work of the Orange Bicentennial Commission, including historical markers placed throughout the Historic District and a replica of the Liberty Bell. The exhibit, located across from the Lending Services Desk, will be on display through the end of 2026.

Orange Public Library Receives $10,000 donation in honor of USA250

Andrew Carnegie donated $10,000 to Orange Public Library in 1907, allowing for the construction of a new library that opened in 1908 at its current location on E. Chapman Ave.

In recognition of its Carnegie Library roots, the Orange Public Library has been awarded a $10,000 donation from the Carnegie Corporation of New York. In honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, each Carnegie Library in the nation has received a similar gift in recognition of Andrew Carnegie’s support of free public libraries.
