The Military Banner program provides an opportunity for the community of Orange to honor and recognize our active-duty military personnel. The program is funded through donations which enable the purchase and placement of the banners on City lamp posts. The banners display the service person's name and military branch.

Honoree Requirements

• Active-duty member of the United States armed forces
• A Current City of Orange resident, or:
• An immediate family member of a current Orange resident (spouse, sibling, son or daughter, grandson or granddaughter, son-in-law or daughter-in-law)

Banner Location and Duration

The location of the banner is at the City's discretion. Banners are installed twice yearly and remain on display for at least one year. Should a banner become damaged during its display period, the City and will repair replace it so it can continue to be displayed for its full term. Banners are presented to the applicant once their display period has been completed.

How to Apply

Complete a Military Banner Program Application. Be sure to include (a) Proof of Active Military Status and (b) Proof of Residency of Applicant or Serviceperson.

Submit your completed application to City of Orange Community Services Department, 230 E. Chapman Ave, Orange, CA 92866.

Donations

• Production of the Military Banner is supported by donations
• A donation is not required with an application, but it is welcome
• Applications accompanied by a donation of $185 are produced and priority installed in the order the application was received
• Your generous donation will help us keep the banners flying.
