Economic Development is responsible for the City's economic development programs and initiatives including business attraction and retention, site selection, and entitlement assistance. As staff for the Successor Agency to the Orange Redevelopment Agency, Economic Development administers the wind-down activities of the former Orange Redevelopment Agency. The goal of the Economic Development staff is to be actively engaged in fostering a business friendly environment which will provide the residents of the City of Orange with employment, shopping, and dining options.

As a member of the SRC team, Economic Development staff is available to provide applicant support as a liaison to the City Manager's Office.
