  1. Literacy Volunteers Needed

    July 9, 2019 - July 18, 2019 @ Library - Main - Community Room

    The Adult Literacy Program is looking for volunteer tutors who want to make a difference in another’s life and want to share their love of reading and books. This is a one-on-one tutoring program focusing on the needs of individual adults working to improve their reading and writing skills. July 9 is New Tutor Orientation Night and the first of four mandatory trainings; the other training dates are July 11, July 16, and July 18, each from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Orange Public Library & History Center.     A special 6-week program presented by Independent Therapy Dogs, Inc., gives children the opportunity to read aloud to a certified therapy dog. Dogs are great listeners and will enjoy any story, read at any pace. (All ages)

  1. Terrarium in a Jar (Main)

    Self-sustaining and made from simple materials, these terrariums require very small space, sunlight, and water. Bring your green thumb and come make your own tiny garden. (Grades 7-12)
