The Orange County Health Officer, Dr. Clayton Chau, has revised the Orders and Strong Recommendations in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in response to Orange County moving to the Yellow Tier of the "Blueprint for a Safer Economy." Yellow Tier designates our County as being at "minimal" risk level for transmission of COVID-19. Among the "Orders and Recommendations" are:
Businesses and activities allowed to open under the tier assigned to Orange County may open, provided that such businesses and activities comply with all applicable restrictions for that tier under the California Blueprint for a Safer Economy. They shall operate in accordance with the requirements and applicable industry guidance listed here; and all County residents and visitors shall wear face coverings as required by the California Department of Public Health Guidance for the Use of Face Coverings issued by on May 3, 2021.
The Strong Recommendations include the continuation of 6-feet of physical distancing between people who are not in the same household when in a public place, visiting a retail, commercial, or other place of business, or at work. For the complete list of revised Orders and Strong recommendations, read the original release here.
