Citrus Pest & Disease Prevention

Citrus Tree Pest Disease Prevention

The deadly citrus tree disease, Huanglongbing (HLB), has been spreading in Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside counties where, as of July 2019, over 1,500 infected trees have been detected and removed. The Citrus Pest and Disease Prevention Program (CPDPP) is continuing to ask all California residents – 60 percent of whom own citrus trees – to protect California citrus and their backyard citrus trees by searching for signs of HLB and the pest that can carry and spread HLB, the Asian citrus psyllid.
