On November 12, 2011, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 17-11, which eliminated all compensation received by City Council members elected in or after November, 2012.
City Council Members do not receive health or retirement benefits.
The City Manager's contract sets out all terms and conditions of employment, including term of agreement, performance review, termination provisions and compensation.
The City Manager does not receive a car allowance, nor is he provided with a City vehicle.

Executive Management compensation and benefits are set forth in a resolution adopted by the City Council on an annual basis.
Executive Managers pay 8.0% of salary to PERS retirement costs.
Safety Executive Managers pay 9.0% of salary to PERS retirement costs.
