Welcome to the Orange Police Department. My name is Tom Kisela and I’m humbled and honored to serve as the 34th Chief of Police for the City of Orange. Our community can be very proud of the men and women who commit themselves to providing the best service while striving to reduce crime and make Orange one of the safest cities in which to live and work.
Orange is one of the most prominent and diverse cities in California. We are the sixth largest city in Orange County, and one of only a few that will experience continued growth and expansion beyond our current geographical size and population. Regardless of our size, our goal is to remain at the forefront of reducing crime while remaining engaged with the community and working together to solve issues. I want to build upon the strategic partnerships already developed with our residents and businesses while enhancing our communication through various platforms.
I believe public service is a calling that requires commitment, character, competency, and communication. These 4C’s, as we call them, are the foundational building blocks for our Five Pillars of Success: Reduce Crime, Contact Repeat Offenders, Be Professional, Implement Technology, and Leadership. Through these tenants our goal is to provide unparalleled service to everyone coupled with the goals of making Orange one of the safest cities.
