Homework Center – Main Library

Need help with your homework? Or a quiet place to study? Visit the Homework Center located in the Children’s Library and get FREE after-school help with your homework questions. Our volunteer Homework Helpers work with students in grades 1-6 who need help with any homework assignment.


Homework Center Hours

The Homework Center is open during the school year:
Monday & Tuesday 3:00–5:00 p.m.
Wednesday 2:00–5:00 p.m.
Thursday 3:00–5:00 p.m.

The Homework Center closes during OUSD’s seasonal breaks and holidays.

How It Works (or FAQs)

  • Registration is not needed to visit (first-come, first-served)
  • Student must be signed in by parent/guardian
  • Parent/guardian must remain in the Library at all times
  • The Homework Center is for homework assistance only; no tutoring is available
  • Parent/guardian or student must have a valid Orange Public Library card
  • Students in the Homework Center should be focused on homework assignments

Available Resources

  • Computers with internet access and Microsoft Word/Publisher/PowerPoint
  • Printing (for a small fee)
  • Access to OUSD online textbooks
  • Basic school supplies such as paper, pencils, and erasers
  • Math and reading reference tools
