Need help with your homework? Visit the Homework Center located in the Children’s Library and get FREE after-school help with your homework questions. Our volunteer Homework Helpers work with students in grades 1-6 who need help with any homework assignments.

Homework Center Hours

The Homework Center is open during the school year:

Monday and Tuesday from 2:45 – 4:45 p.m.
(Hours dependent on volunteer availability)

The Homework Center closes during OUSD’s seasonal breaks and holidays.

How It Works (or FAQs)

  • Homework help is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Students must be signed in by parent/guardian.
  • Parent/guardian must remain in the Library at all times.
  • The Homework Center is for homework assistance only; no tutoring is available.
  • Parent/guardian or student must have a valid Orange Public Library card.

Available Resources

  • Computers with internet access and Microsoft Word/Publisher/PowerPoint
  • Printing (for a small fee)
  • Access to OUSD online textbooks
  • Basic school supplies such as paper, pencils, and erasers
  • Math and reading reference tools
