The City of Orange requires all commercial, industrial, and residential businesses operating or based in the City to obtain and maintain a current Business License. Any business coming into the City to work must also apply for a Business License. If your business is not based in the City, you must carry your City of Orange Business License with you while working here.

You can either apply directly online or download an application to mail, fax, or bring to City Hall. Some businesses requiring extra information will not be able to apply online. The application must be fully completed to be accepted, so be very detailed in your business description and provide all required ownership information.
 
Application Fee of $56.00 is non-refundable.
State Mandated Fee of $4.00 is non-refundable.

Additional State Fee:

Governor Brown recently signed into law Assembly Bill 1379, requiring cities to increase the State Fee from $1.00 to $4.00, on any Business License Application.  This goes into effect January 1, 2018.  This fee will provide funding for increased education on disability access and compliance with construction related accessibility requirements to facilitate compliance with federal and state disability laws.
