We are responsible for the City's economic development programs and initiatives, including business attraction and retention, site selection, and entitlement assistance. As staff for the Successor Agency to the Orange Redevelopment Agency, we administer the wind-down activities of the former Orange Redevelopment Agency.
Our goal is to be actively engaged in fostering a business-friendly environment, which will provide the residents of the City of Orange with employment, shopping, and dining options.
The City's Business development programs support the Orange business community through an array of services to help to attract new businesses to the city and assist existing business with expansion opportunities. The Economic Development team works to promote the city, provide outreach to brokers, develop relationships with existing businesses, and craft incentive packages through the Sales Tax Sharing Ordinance.
