Mental Health Kits for Adults are located next to the second floor seating area of the Orange Public Library & History Center. Each kit includes a number of pre-selected books and a resource list that covers a variety of mental health topics: anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, mindfulness, and substance abuse. Please call the Adult Reference Desk at (714) 288-2410 for more information or for help placing a kit on hold.
We have several Social Emotional Learning for Families (S.E.L.F.) kits. Each backpack kit covers a different social emotional topic such as bravery, mindfulness, grief, and anxiety. These kits contain several books, a toy or activity, and advice on how to discuss the kit topic.
Please visit the Children’s Reference Desk at the Orange Public Library & History Center to check out a kit. Adults with an OPL card in good standing may check out any available kit. Please call the Children’s Reference Desk at (714) 288-2420 for more information or for help placing a kit on hold.
