Our mission is to prevent or minimize the loss of life, damage to the environment, and loss of property from the adverse effects of fire, medical emergencies, and hazardous conditions. The Orange City Fire Department currently serves a population of 140,000 from eight fire stations spread throughout the community. There are 36 uniformed personnel on duty 24/7 to serve the 15,000 calls for emergency services annually. Additionally, we have fire safety and hazardous material specialists, arson investigators, and an emergency services coordinator all contributing to the safety of living, recreating, and doing business in Orange.
Orange is a diverse city with residential, commercial, and industrial neighborhoods. Additionally Orange is comprised of railroads, pipelines, rivers, wildland areas, 25 high-rise buildings, and seven major freeways. The men and women of the Orange City Fire Department have the training, equipment, and experience necessary to mitigate emergencies in all of these disciplines. Specialty capabilities include emergency medical care & transportation, wildland firefighting, and urban search & rescue response (including swift water rescue).
