The local history collection contains over 3,502 cataloged volumes covering a wide range of subjects, including early history, Native Americans, Spanish and Mexican land grants, the citrus industry, natural history, government and biographies.

Books in the collection must be used within the library and do not check out, although we purchase duplicate copies when possible for our circulating collection that may be checked out. 

Special resources, such as city and county directories, oral history transcripts, high school annuals and the Orange City Historic Inventory are also available.
