Earth Day Free Compost Giveaway Event

In commemoration of Earth Day 2014, the City of Orange and your local trash and recycling provider, CR&R, will be giving away two FREE bags of compost for each residential CR&R account.

According to a recent study, one cubic foot of compost provides the same value as $20.00 worth of fertilizers and soil amendments. Compost is the elixir that benefits the soil to promote plant vitality, soil drainage and moisture absorption.

Date:               Saturday April 19, 2014

Time:               8:00 a.m. - noon (until supplies last)

Location:        City of Orange City Hall
                         300 East Chapman Avenue
(Corner of Almond and Center Streets)

Get there early!  Supplies are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

During the next few weeks, you will receive a coupon with your CR&R trash collection and recycling bill.  In order to receive your free bags of compost, please bring the coupon or another form of identification to the event.

Note: If you are a resident of a condominium or apartment and did not receive your coupon for free compost, please stop by!  If we have compost on hand, you will receive your two bags of free compost as well.
