Where can I safely dispose of used motor oil?
Orange residents can safely and easily dispose of used motor oil by calling the Residential Used Oil Collection Hotline to schedule a FREE pickup at your home.  Call (800) 449-7587.  If you prefer to properly dispose of your used motor oil at the time you change it, ask the hotline operator for the location of the certified collection center nearest you.

 

Can I recycle plastic?
Plastic containers such as beverage containers, milk bottles and detergent bottles can be placed in the curbside recycling cart.  To redeem the California Redemption Value for beverage containers, they must be taken to a certified recycling center.  For the location nearest you, visit www.consrv.ca.gov.  For additional information, call the City of Orange Recycling Office at (714) 744-5551.

How can I safely dispose of household hazardous waste material?
Your local Hazardous Waste Center is located at
