Glassell Street Sewer Replacement Project
July 13, 2015

The existing 6-inch diameter sewer on Glassell St. from Palm Ave. to Collins Ave. has reached the end of its life-cycle. It will be replaced by approximately 4,000 linear feet of new 8-inch vitrified clay pipe (VCP). The City of Orange is the lead agency for the construction and maintenance of the sewer system and will oversee the private contractor performing the work.

Construction Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
Project Duration: Approx. 4 months - July thru October
City Inspection: (714) 744-5526

A minimum of one traffic lane will remain open in each direction at all times. Left turn pockets and center median turn lanes will be eliminated during certain periods of construction. Businesses and residents should anticipate traffic delays and limited access to their businesses and homes during periods of construction activity. The schedule may shift due to inclement weather or material supply issues. If you have questions about the project, please contact the City's Engineering Division at (714) 744-5525.
