What is a decoy? A decoy is an integral part of the training process. It is impossible to train a Police Service Dog by yourself. The dog needs someone to search for, apprehend and act as an agitator to allow the Police Service Dog to protect its handler. Without those dedicated officers who assist the team as decoys, training would be all but impossible. A good decoy will bring a dog to the peak of its potential.
