Homework Center

There's gold to be found at "The Orange"... Homework Center
Where kids find out HOW to find the answers AND...

  • An environment conductive to working on homework
  • Orange Unified School District textbooks
  • Staffed by volunteers

For ages 5 - 12


Hours

Monday - Thursday, 3 - 5 pm

The Homework Center will be closed from June 14 - August 19, and will reopen on Monday, August 23.


What parents need to know:

  • Registration not needed (first come, first served)
  • Student must be signed in and out by parent / responsible adult
  • Parent / responsible adult must remain on library premises
  • The Homework Center is for homework only!
  • Student must have a valid Orange Public Library Card

With their OPL library cards, students may access several great online databases, including:

  • ProQuest Newspapers (Orange County Register)


The Homework Center also provides:

  • Subject resource lists
  • Filtered Internet access with computer shortcuts to American Library Association approved websites
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel
  • Color and black & White laser printers (modest fee to print; library card must have funds deposited on it)
  • Children's Library resources...just steps away!
