The General Accounting Division functions as a support service to other City departments and monitors the financial position of the City. We record and report all financial transactions, coordinate the annual financial audit and prepare the City's and Redevelopment Agency's comprehensive annual financial reports. We also administer the City's outstanding debt to ensure all legal requirements of bond documents are met. The Division is responsible to maintain the City's system of internal controls which safeguards the City's assets, administer the reporting of capital assets and processes all invoices to the City for goods and services purchased. The Division also processes and distributes payroll for all employees of the City.
