Beginning June 21, 2010, the City of Orange will offer great programs to keep kids active in a recreation environment! We invite you to join us for an eight week program with a structured schedule of games, activities, crafts, songs, special events and optional excursions, at an additional cost on Thursday of each week. Participants will experience a summer full of excitement, making friends and memories to last a lifetime!
Recreation Leaders provide opportunities for children to be creative, achieve self-expression, gain self-confidence and build team skills through recreation activities and group games. Recreation Leaders are certified in basic first aid and CPR. Staff participant ratio is approximately one leader to ten campers.
Important Registration Information: Full week payment is due at the time of registration and taken on a first-come, first received basis. Parent packets and payment confirmation will be mailed to all patrons who register their child before Thursday, June 10, 2010. Parent packets will also be available at the time of walk-in registration.

Fees: $95 per week, per participant for Orange residents $110 per week, per participant Non-Orange residents

EXCURSIONS Only Handy and Shaffer participants are eligible to attend excursions at an additional cost. Excursion participation is not mandatory. Shaffer day camp, 1930 North Shaffer Street 92865, remains open on excursion dates for all non-excursion participants. Excursion participants are to be dropped off and picked up at their designated camp site. Bus times vary from week to week and will be made available the week of the scheduled excursion or cab viewed on-line beginning in June.
Excursions are scheduled on Thursday of each week, with the exception of week 6. Excursion payments must be processed by 5:30 p.m. the Monday prior to the planned excursion. Some prices may vary according to child's age. Price includes entry fee, buss fee, and lunch, with the exception of week 6.
