Filming in Orange

The city’s film office coordinates and oversees permitting for all on-location production within the City of Orange. This includes feature films, television series, commercials, student films, and still photography.

We require 10-working days to process film permits.

Filming Moratorium for November and December 2016:

The last day for shooting in Old Towne is November 21.  All applications should have been submitted at this time. Very small student films may film in Old Towne up to December 9 but applications must be submitted by November 21.

The City will accept applications for filming in the rest of the City up until 10 a.m. December 15. Approval will take into consideration the size, type, and intrusiveness of the production, and is at the discretion of the Film Permit Coordinator.

Applications submitted after 10 a.m. December 15 will be considered as “received” on January 3, 2017.

No filming will be approved for December 22 through January 3.
