Orange, CA. – All three branches of the Orange Public Libraries – The Orange Public Library & History Center, Taft and El Modena Branch Libraries – will be open six days a week beginning July 1. 2012.
"Customer service to the community is one of the Council's top priorities, so we have worked hard with our Library staff on a plan to increase the availability of our libraries to the public," said Orange Mayor Carolyn Cavecche.
Library Director Yolanda Moreno said, “Thanks to the City Council’s approval of the new library service model, we are happy to be able to open more hours with no additional costs or added library staff.”
The Orange Public Library & History Center, located at 407 E. Chapman Avenue will be open
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 10:00 am – 9:00 pm; Thursday, Friday, Saturday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm and closed on Sunday.
The popular Local History Room, in the Orange Public Library & History Center, has doubled its open hours. The new hours will be Monday & Tuesday 12:00 noon – 6:00 pm; Wednesday 3:00 – 9:00 pm; Thursday 12:00 noon – 6:00 pm; Saturday 2:00 – 6:00 pm and closed Friday and Sunday.
The Taft and El Modena Branch Libraries, located at 740 E. Taft Avenue and 380 S. Hewes Street, respectively, will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 2:00 – 7:00 pm; Thursday, Friday, Saturday 1:00 – 6:00 pm and closed Sunday.
