Street Improvements Underway

Caring for our critical infrastructure falls to our Public Works Department.  This is an important job which ensures that our City will be ready to meet the next 129 years.  Starting this week, the intersection of Lincoln Ave. and Tustin St. will be undergoing reconstruction that will improve traffic flow, upgrade the water infrastructure, increase ADA access, and rehabilitate the pavement.

Most of the project, which is expected to finish in mid-to-late April, will take place at night from 9 pm to 5 am.  Some of the work will need to be done during the day, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, during which we will keep two lanes open in both directions during day and evening rush hours, and one lane at other times.

When completed, the project will provide an additional left turn lane from eastbound Lincoln to northbound Tustin, and an additional left turn lane on Tustin street to westbound Lincoln.  To improve safety, a concrete median will be added on Lincoln and the pavement on both streets will be redone and restriped.

While we do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, we hope you will enjoy the improvements after the project has finished.
