City Of Orange Notice of Vacancy – City Clerk

The Orange City Council is seeking interested applicants to fill a vacancy as City Clerk.  Applications will be accepted through 5 pm, November 6, 2018.
Applicants must live in the City of Orange, and have general knowledge of the workings of the City of Orange.  The term of office runs through November 2020.
The City Clerk administers democratic processes such as elections, access to city records, and all legislative actions, and also acts as the compliance officer for federal, state and local statutes (such as the Political Reform Act, the Brown Act, and the Public Records Act.)
The Mission Statement of the City Clerk is to provide exceptional customer service; promoting community involvement and awareness; supporting City Council and staff; coordinating the legislative process; administering City Elections; and managing City Records – all with integrity, accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism.
The City Clerk is entitled to receive a stipend of $365.00 per month.
Applications may be obtained from the Office of the City Clerk, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange, CA 92866 or by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at (714) 744-5500, or available on the City of Orange website by clicking here.
Applications should be filed at the City Clerk’s Office.
