The American Planning Association recently honored our Community Development Department Planning Division with the “Best Practices” award for the 2017 update to our Historic Preservation Design Standards for Old Towne.
As a Nationally Registered Historic District, the Design Standards help guide residents and businesses looking to build or renovate existing structures within the Historic District, and are critical to maintaining the architectural integrity of Old Towne Orange’s contributing structures. The APA’s panel of judges noted the Standards effective use of graphics, easily understandable design guidance, and user-friendly format.
We are very proud of our Community Development Department, and the work they do to serve our community.
We would like to sincerely thank the APA for honoring us with this award.
