Military Banner Program

The Military Banner program was created for the community of Orange to honor and recognize active duty military personnel that reside or have immediate family living in the City of Orange. The program is funded through sponsorships and donations which enable the purchase and placement of the banners on City lamp posts. The banners have the service person's name and military branch.

To qualify, honorees must meet the following criteria:
  • Active duty member of the United States armed forces; and
  • Current City of Orange resident; or
  • Immediate family member of a current Orange resident (immediate family is: wife or husband, son or daughter, grandson or granddaughter, son-in-law or daughter-in-law)

Military Banner Program Applications (PDF) will be accepted on an on-going basis. Banners will be raised in the order that the application was received as long as there are sufficient funds in the donation account to do so. If a banner application was received prior to the installation date and there are insufficient funds to produce and raise the banner, that application will be processed for the next installation date provided funds are available at that time.
Applications that are accompanied by a banner donation of $120 will be produced and raised at the next installation date.
