Thanks to the efforts of Eichler residents, the three Eichler Tracts in Orange (Fairhaven, Fairhills, and Fairmeadow) have been identified as potential historic districts. In response to the residents' enthusiasm for their homes, we are working on local historic district designation. In spring 2018, staff of the Planning Division and the City's consultant, Page & Turnbull, will be holding a series of community meetings to discuss historic district designation and the creation of design standards to protect the character of these unique neighborhoods.
Join us for the 2nd Eichler Community Workshop!
We are holding the second Eichler Community Workshop on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 6 - 8 pm. The meeting will be in the Orange Public Library Community Room at 407 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange, CA 92866. All Eichler home owners and residents are invited to attend.
At the workshop, we will be building on the input you gave us at the first Community Meeting in February and will be sharing potential options for design standards to help preserve neighborhood character. We will also be talking about the process for making changes to your property if it is in a historic district. We hope to see you there!
