A Message From the Chief

Welcome to the Orange City Fire Department. I am excited to serve the community of Orange as the 16th Fire Chief of the Orange City Fire Department. The department has been my home since I began my fire service career as a Fire Explorer and was subsequently hired as a full time firefighter in 1988. I have proudly served our department as a firefighter/paramedic, fire engineer, fire captain and battalion chief before my appointment to fire chief on November 15, 2015.

Career Highlights

Highlights of my career include leading several "wildland strike teams" (comprised of 5 fire engines) to fires throughout California, and serving as an "urban search and rescue" specialist for California Task Force 5 during Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana.

We strive to maintain the highest level of service to our citizens, businesses, and visitors. As a Department we are continually assessing our effectiveness so that we can best utilize our available resources. We take pride in our apparatus, equipment and facilities, and we work to maintain them in a responsible manner.
